Vicky Bullen

I’m Vicky Bullen – I look after Coley Porter Bell, the brand design part of Ogilvy.

As a member of the Group Board I have been part of discussions around the group’s CSR effort for a long time – we made a decision we wanted to do something as a group – knowing that together we could be so much more impactful – not just on the people on the receiving end of our efforts, but also on Ogilvy people – the people making the efforts in the first place.

Last year we decided to partner with INUK to build a secondary school in Buikwe- and we at Coleys had the joy of creating the name and the identity – of course I love it – it expresses perfectly the idea that by coming together as an Ogilvy group we can make a much bigger difference than we can as individuals.

So going to Uganda, seeing the fruits of all our labours and doing my bit towards actually making the concept a reality has been a long held wish.

I have two children – 9 and 11 – I take it for granted that they will go to secondary school and on to realise their dreams. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to help some children go to secondary school who wouldn’t otherwise have had this chance. I can’t wait to tell my kids all about it, and to help them to understand just how different life is for some children. And on top of that it gave me the incentive to run another half marathon to raise some money…..
